International Busking Day 2018

You Are Invited to International Busking Day 2018

Supported by the Mayor of London, International Busking Day will see performers in cities across six continents unite with musicians in London for a celebration of busking and street performance.

On Saturday 21 July, cities from Sydney to Reykjavik and Tokyo to Rio will follow London’s lead and showcase their busking talent at celebrations to mark the third International Busking Day. Join a stellar line-up of international artists, as they take over Wembley Park for the day, filling the area with music, magic, comedy, physical theatre and dance.

Nile Rodgers International Busking Day

Legendary musician and multiple Grammy award-winning composer, producer and guitarist Nile Rodgers will officially launch the celebrations of this year’s International Busking Day at its new global headquarters in Wembley Park,  with a special appearance in Arena Square at 11.30 am.

Performances will kick off at 12.30 pm, with festival highlights including double platinum singer-songwriter Newton Faulkner, and UK Top 40 pop sensation Nina Nesbitt.

Triple-platinum, Irish chart-topping phenomenon folk/rock band Keywest will be headlining International Busking Day later in the afternoon, taking the stage on Arena Square, against the iconic backdrop of SSE Arena, Wembley, from 18.30.

And there’s more! Get out there and do your thing whether you’re a newcomer or a seasoned pro. Upload a photo or video of your performance to social media on Saturday 21 July with the hashtags #InternationalBuskingDay and #SummerofPlay, tagging @buskinlondon and @wembleypark.

We’ll repost and share throughout the day. We will also display all photos on a world map on a giant screen in Arena Square.

See you at the festival!
