Wonderful winter playground
The young – and the young at heart – can play to their hearts’ content with Winterfest’s magical, multi-sensory immersive artworks. Create your own musical soundscape with the Halos; revel in the kaleidoscopic patterns of light that ripple down the Sonic Runway at the speed of sound; or dance, leap and play before the light-sensitive canvas of the Shadow Wall, and watch your own image appear in silhouette. London’s tallest tree
London’s tallest Christmas tree towers over Wembley Park this Winterfest. Illuminated by more than 100,000 sparkling LED lights, this unique structure doesn’t just dazzle from afar – come a little closer and you can step right inside!
Snap a family selfie in StarBox
This popular installation returns to Wembley Park for a second year. Huddle together in the star-shaped cutouts of the illuminated gold StarBox and capture the moment in a perfect festive family selfie.
Christmas films at Cineworld
Come in from the cold and catch a movie at Cineworld, Wembley Park’s state-of-the-art nine-screen cinema complex. Highlights include this winter’s surefire family blockbuster, Frozen 2, the new festive rom-com Last Christmas, and the seasonal classic Gremlins – now digitally remastered in 4K to celebrate the 35th birthday of the mischievous little critters. Side splitting fun with Elf – The Musical
Arriving in Wembley Park straight from Broadway, the hit musical version of Elf is upsized into a huge Arena spectacular. Playing at The SSE Arena, Wembley, the heart-warming tale of Buddy, a human raised by Santa’s elves, is brought to life across three stages, with giant screens providing stunning CGI backdrops and live-action close ups. Great giggles at Grandpa’s Great Escape Live
The first-ever stage adaptation of David Walliams’ exhilarating bestseller Grandpa’s Great Escape lands in Wembley Park this Christmas. The rollicking comedy adventure tells the story of Jack and his Grandpa, a World War 2 flying ace, trying to escape from an old folks’ home run by the dastardly Matron Swine. The SSE Arena is transformed into the London skyline for this fabulous caper, in which Jack and Grandpa soar through the air in a life-sized Spitfire! Don’t miss out and book here.
London Designer Outlet is jam-packed with family-friendly eateries, many of them offering mouth-watering Christmas-themed menus. Firm favourite Frankie & Benny’s adds a festive twist with turkey meatball carbonara, while newcomer Bread Ahead is serving up panettone doughnuts to tantalise the tastebuds of the sweet-toothed.
Fame: The Musical at Troubadour Wembley Park
There are leotards and leg-warmers aplenty in this high-energy stage version of the 1980 smash-hit movie, Fame, showing at the Troubadour until 26 January 2020. Following the trials and triumphs of the ambitious students of New York High School for the Performing Arts, Fame: The Musical takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster, peppered with cracking tunes and stunning dance routines.
Blow your minds at Virtual Reality
Give the kids time to let off steam at Zero Latency, the world’s first free-roam virtual-reality game. This new addition to the Boxpark entertainment zone allows you to pit your combat skills against your friends and family in a mind-altering game of laser-tag, where technology and imagination collide.
