Grime Ballet: a world first at Wembley Park

Grime Ballet Boxpark Wembley Wembley Park

Boxpark Wembley has teamed up Glug events for a world first this Thursday 30 January – Grime Ballet.

A fusion of Grime and Contemporary dance, Grime Ballet celebrated the art of music and dance through performances, inspirational talks and engaging workshops.

Headlining the event is the brand new collaborative from ‘leading lady of grime’ Lioness and world-class choreographer Alex Whitley, London Sketchbook. Their debut performance takes a look at the capital, its extraordinary heritage and rich culture. Nat Powers, legendary producer who has worked with the biggest names in Grime including Run DMC and Giggs, and the insanely talented Grime Violinst, have both worked on the track.

Along with London Sketchbook, both Lioness and Alex Whitley will be doing solo performances and projects. There will also be the highly anticipated ‘Future of Grime’ panel discussion from leading industry names such as Girls of Grime Founder Shakira Walters, photographer Ellie Ramsden, Laura ‘Hyperfrank’ Brosnan TRENCH Executive Editor & Christopher Hampson CEO/Artistic Director at the Scottish Ballet.

This do-not-miss event is for all music lovers, Grime enthusiasts, dance fanatics, industry curious, culture vultures, creators, collaborators, rhymers and anyone who just loves a good time.

Grime Ballet will be held at Boxpark Wembley on Thursday 30th January from 6:30PM to 11:30PM. Tickets cost £10 or £7 for students. You can book your tickets here.
