International Busking Day 2019: What to Expect on the Stages

International Busking Day 2018 at Wembley Park

International Busking Day is back – and it’s bigger than over. The world’s largest celebration of street performance and arts returns to Wembley Park on Saturday 20th July. And this year we have FIVE stages. 

That’s right. The festival of busking just got bigger, with over 50 acts performing across Wembley Park. Featuring home grown talent and the hottest international acts, International Busking is the perfect fun and FREE day out for everyone to enjoy. 

With more stages, and even more acts, we’re able to showcase even MORE incredible performances. We highly recommend exploring all stages to sample everything we have an offer for the day. To help you plan and discover, check out what each stage has on offer below!

Find your way around international busking day 2019 at Wembley Park, London

1. MAIN STAGE

The Main Stage is where you’ll find some of the hottest names in street performance. Within the plethora of talent we have names like Hattie Briggs, who was discovered busking in Paddington Station by Alfie Boe and invited to open for him on his 22 date tour, Bethzienna Williams, The Voice 2018 finalist, Jazz Mino, vibrant singer-songwriter and YouTube sensation and Lucy May Walker, who was discover by Jeremy Vine. 

We also have two incredible headliners taking the Main Stage – watch this space!

2. STREET STAGE

Opposite the Main Stage you’ll find the Street Stage, featuring the funny, the incredibly talented and sometimes the extremely odd. We have Witty Look all the way from Japan wowing the crowds with their sensational skills, and side-splitting routine. Britain’s Got Talent sensations, Lords of Strut, New Zeland’s finest comedian, Jess the Mess and many more. 

3. MARKET SQUARE STAGE

Market Square Stage will have the up and and coming acts of the future. Head here to get your sneak peak of tomorrow’s superstars! Sherika Sherard, who was discovered busking by Seal and invited to open for him on his tour, 20 year old KY Lewis, whose musical talent has earned him scholarships and the chance to perform at the Brits 2018 with superstar Justin Timberlake, and Nicola Hogg, talented singer who went from busking in the London Underground to releasing three singles and featuring on BBC London news, the London Evening Standard and the Metro, are some of the incredible acts we have on this stage. 

4. BOXPARK STAGE

Boxpark Wembley is the place to eat, drink and witness some insane talent this International Busking Day. Whilst you are enjoying some of the mouth-watering world food they have on offer, make sure you check out their stage. They have Italian singer, Luca Fiore, passionate performer, Robbie Boyd, as well as second performances from some of the other acts from the day. 

But there is more! Boxpark Wembley is also hosting the one and only after party from 8PM where you’ll be able to catch performances from The Luck, sensational sibling duo, and Divided Soul, London based singer-songwriters.

5. THE YELLOW STAGE

Wembley Park’s community hub, The Yellow, have their very own stage this year-  and you’re in for a treat! Budding with local talent and super fun interactive workshops, The Yellow Stage has something for all ages. From Salsa workshops, epic guitar solos, dance jam’s, hula hoopers and R&B sensations , The Yellow Stage really has it. And make sure you stick around as from 5.30PM to 6.30PM, they will be hosting their very own mini-street park to close the celebrations. 

6. THE CORNER @ WEMBLEY LIBRARY

We have more than just performances this year. Head to The Corner in Wembley Library and you’ll be able to hear from industry experts and musical professionals as they discuss a range of topics including music and wellness, social media and all the tools of the trade. 7. LDO STAGE

Whilst you’re browsing the shops or grabbing a bite to eat, make sure you check out the stage at London Designer Outlet. In the heart of the shopping centre, you’ll be able to listen to some amazing acts.
