Open House Families is coming to Wembley Park this Saturday

Prepare you and your little ones for a day full of interesting and educational fun as the incredibly popular Open House Families comes to Wembley Park.

From 10AM to 3PM on Saturday 22nd June, people of all ages will be able to explore and learn about Wembley Park through family-friendly workshops.

We want to help inspire the next generation of city-shapers, so will be hosting interactive, educational and creative play throughout the day for everyone to enjoy.

So come on down to Wembley Park this Saturday. Explore the world-famous neighbourhood. Create, learn and interact with people of all ages. Help us inspire the future. 

Paint, Paper, Pencil and Clay

Paint Paper Pencil Clay Wembley Park

Hosted by Abundance Arts, Paint, Paper, Pencil and Clay will help you and your children express your creativity through different mediums. From origami to clay sculptures, paper constructs to painting, you’ll be encouraged to bring your ideas to life.

For an extra special treat, Saturday 22nd June will also be ‘Big Doodle Draw Day’ where everyone is invited to create together on one colossal mural.

Where: The Corner @ Wembley Library (Wembley Library, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ)

When: 10 AM to 3 PM

City Tales

We all love a story. It’s the way in which we learn and make sense of the world around us. They create emotions, explore history and embellish lives.

We’ll be bringing Elvin Gardens to life with City Tales, storytelling for young people , to life with our dramatized storytelling with Richard Crane (Wembley Park’s own animator of Olympic Way) and Poet Ian McLachlan (exhibiting at The British Library and Covent Garden’s Poetry Cafe). Suitable for ages 5 to 12.

Where: Elvin Gardens Amphitheatre (Wembley Park HA9 0XJ [Behind Brent Civic Centre])

When: Sessions at 1PM and 2PM

If you fancy sticking around after, The Yellow has a performance of the new musical Noise! By Brent Youth Theatre from 6PM to 7PM. Noise! is an exploration of the noise that surrounds our young people today and what happens when it all goes away. It’s a high-energy, inclusive performance that is suitable for anyone. It’s also completely FREE! If you want to pop along you do need to book your space, so please email info@uniquecommunity.org if you would like to do so!
