Other Cinemas FREE screenings are back as part of Brent 2020’s activities
Other Cinemas return to Wembley Park once again for their next round FREE independent film screenings, as part of Brent’s Borough of Culture activities.
With a powerful lineup of thought provoking documentaries and moving short films, Other Cinemas are bringing even more independent filmmakers to the forefront.
Hosted in Wembley Park’s community hub, The Yellow, the screenings are completely free and vary from scripted but personal movies to political features.
Tomisin Adepeju – Emerging Filmmaker Showcase

On Saturday 28th March, we’ll be welcoming rising star director, Tomisin Adepeju, to Wembley Park to showcase a collection of his short films and discuss his journey as a filmmaker.
We’ll be showing some of his award winning shorts including The Good Soon, about a Nigerian man who is forced to address a secret he has harboured from his parents, and The Right Choice, a husband and wife who must answer three questions to create their perfect designer baby.
The Power of the Archive – Between Palestine and Pan African Cinema

Join us for a special discussion between Azza El-Hassan, the Palestinian filmmaker and archivist, and June Givanni, who formed Pan African on Saturday 18th April.
The discussion on the power and place of the archive for non-white communities will start with a screening of a selection of some of the films that have been restored by Azza El-Hassan as well as the films that June Giovanni has helped to archive and preserve as part of the June Givanni Pan African Cinema Archive.
