The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is coming to Wembley Park
Big news. The National Theatre production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will return to London for a limited run this November.
Playing at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, the Olivier and Tony Award-winning production will show for a limited run this Christmas, from Wednesday 18th November 2020 to Sunday 10th January 2021.
Seen by over five million people worldwide, Curious Incident is adapted from the Mark Haddon novel of the same name. Its run so far has included including two UK tours, two West End runs, a Broadway transfer, tours to the Netherlands, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Australia and 30 cities across the USA. Curious Incident is a well-accredited play, winning seven Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, five Tony Awards, six Drama Desk Awards, Five Outer Critic Circle Awards and the Drama League Award for Outstanding Production of a Broadway or Off Broadway Play.
The play tells the story of Christopher John Francis Boone, who is fifteen years old. He stands beside Mrs Shears’ dead dog, which has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion. He records each fact in a book he is writing to solve the mystery of who killed Wellington. He has an extraordinary brain and is exceptional at maths while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.
Tickets go on sale to the public on 13th March 2020, with National Theatre priority for members from 4th March and American Express Cardmembers can book from 10 March and Troubadour Theatre’s priority members from 12 March.
