SFSA’s Creative Community sits within Wembley Park
Second Floor Studios & Arts (SFSA) are running a collective of 26 affordable studio spaces for artists and makers, the first of its kind in Wembley Park. The long-term, subsidised spaces provide important employment led opportunities for the local community.
London has lost thousands of artists’ studios over the last few years; our capital is reaching a tipping point of neutralising its cultural context. Wembley Park have had the vision to embrace Visual Arts within their community planning and we look forward to seeing how the residential and studio communities mix and collaborate over time.

In return for access to the subsidised spaces, each studio member is pledging an hour of their time to gift back into the community in the form of a Shared Skills Time Bank. This will see free clay sculpting and life drawing classes or perhaps mentoring A-level students to prepare their art portfolios for further education. The programme will roll out from September 2018 and we look forward to wide involvement with Wembley Park and neighbouring areas within Brent.

Integral to the annual programming of the project is the annual Open Studios. An opportunity for the studio members to open their doors and invite the general public to see their working practices and potentially buy work. 2018’s open studios will be over the weekend of 9th and 10th of June, noon to six each day.
The self-contained studios opened in February 2018 and are built to the highest standards. The studios are full but if you would like to make an enquiry to join the wait list please email email@example.com
